Team Spotlight for July - Natasha Robinson, Marketing & Events Coordinator
1.) How long have you been at Prevail and what is your position?
Officially 13 years. I am the Marketing & Events Coordinator here!
2.) What do you like most about working for Prevail?
The feeling that we are making a real difference in the community I’ve been in my ENTIRE LIFE! Seeing it grow and change over the years, just reaffirms to me that Prevail is doing great work and the “newer” movement towards preventing violence before it even starts is really encouraging and motivating. The people I’ve met while at Prevail are amazing humans and I love having the opportunity to speak to new people about Prevail. You never know who may hear you talking that could need services.
3.) Who is your hero?
Definitely and without a doubt my sister! She has taught me how to work hard for myself and others and how to hold space for myself. I can’t imagine my life without her.
4.) What is your favorite quote?
“It’s not who you are that holds you back. It’s who you think you’re not.” – Denis Waitley
5.) What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Uhhh hard hard pass on the mic. I’m a behind the scenes person, so I’d hold the lyric cards.
6.) What motivates you the most to serve others?
I have a strong voice and a determination to see others thrive. I don’t want to see anyone left behind, but want them to find their own power.
7.) If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Salads…so many options.
8.) What is your proudest accomplishment?
Every Gala/Celebration of Hope…being able to provide a platform for a survivor to share their story with others. It’s an important part of their healing and giving them a voice. It also shows others who may be struggling with getting help that they are supported and they are not alone. Plus, I get to talk to so many supporters and work with so many wonderful volunteers it’s amazing.
9.) What animal do you most identify with, and why?
A bee. They are strong hard workers and they are bright and part of an equally hard working team.
10.) Favorite Prevail memory?
So many years and so many memories! My favorite and most recent is the announcement that the county will be supporting the movement to build a housing facility for victims. The support from our county officials just proves that they are holding the voices of victims up high and letting them know they are supported. Every day there is an impact on someone’s life that needs it.
11.) Favorite self-care practice?
The gym and volleyball! Lifting heavy weights makes me feel 1,000x better, no matter what!
