Through the largest grant they have ever made in Hamilton County, the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana (a CICF Affiliate) allowed Prevail to begin implementing Safe Dates during the 2010-2011 school year. Safe Dates is an evidence based program designed to stop or prevent the initiation of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse on dates or between individuals involved in a dating relationship.

The first year consisted of research, planning and initial implementation at 4 schools in the County. We also provided the Safe Dates program to students at the Juvenile Services Center.

Now, in year 2, we are broadening the program’s reach and already have commitments from 4 schools representing 2 districts to offer the curriculum during the 2011-2012 school year and anticipate another district coming on board in early October.

If you are interested in learning more about ‘Safe Dates’ please contact us at prevail@prevailinc.com or 317-773-6942!
